Traveling
There is no picture for this post, because I was flying around the world and my camera was full. We were so taken care of during the whole trip that it mattered very little if we missed our connection (twice) or that our luggage didn't get put on the new planes. I'm so thankful for the peace God gave me despite all the hassles.

Wonder
What a privilege to witness the wonders in nature. I went to the Tennessee
Aquarium yesterday with my sister and my daughter. We saw fish, butterflies, birds and more fish. And turtles, too! What a coincidence. And we were lucky enough to be there to see the rays being fed.

Culmination
Well, it sure makes me feel thankful to see a project through to completion. This quilt top isn't quite completed yet, as I need to bind and quilt it. That will require a dozen more design decisions to be made, but the hard part is done. I'm also sincerely thankful for all the input my sister gave me during the creation process. She has reminded me about many little things that go into making a good quilt excellent.

Good Deals
We went to the largest resale shop I've ever seen yesterday and had very good luck. All of these pieces, plus some shoes for my daughter, and it all cost just over $65. Many of these items are designer labels, and I have two new pairs of black jeans that fit! I love buying jeans that are pre-owned because I don't have to work the stiffness out of them. And who doesn't love new clothes?

Togetherness
My daughter and my sister worked on making a quilt together yesterday. This gave my daughter something productive to do, with fabrics that she chose herself, and also created a new memory for her and my sister.

The Creative Process
I wasn't sure this was going to be a good design, but I'm thankful that it is turning out how I had hoped. Most often when I'm starting a quilt, I have lots of doubt. But at a certain point, the doubt disappears. Then creating is just so much fun.
