The Color Pink
I was running around, doing errands with my family, and it was either raining or spitting most of the time. I came across these beautiful bougainvilleas, and their color just made me happy. They are all over the island, but sometimes you just gotta stop and look to see them.

Many Accomplishments
Yesterday was a great day.
Please note: all of these self-portraits were taken of a subject with bed-head. Sorry.
1. David Walker(and several other wonderful people) left a very nice comment on my blog.
2. I completed a t-shirt redesign.
3. I fixed a shirt needing some crochet on the collar.
4. I fit a pair of jeans that were too tight 2 1/2 weeks ago!
Woohoo!

Wonder, Part 2
Rainbow Lorikeet, taking a bath and playing with me at the Jurong Bird Park yesterday.
Before I had the presence of mind to turn on the camera, he and I splashed around together for several minutes. Or rather, I splashed him quite a bit. He complained the whole time, but kept coming back for more. What a privilege to be able to interact with a wild bird.

New Napkins!
I saw a tutorial somewhere online before Christmas and thought I would make some cloth napkins for my sister. Unfortunately, I ran out of time. But I still wanted to make some cloth napkins, and since my sister already had some, I decided to make some for my family.
I found this fabric for $3 a meter and although it's a little patriotic, I decided I liked it enough. So I whipped these up in no time and we are now using them at every dinner.

Bird Park
Wish I had some pictures to post, but I don't at the moment. We went to the bird park, and took our sweet time as our year-long membership is about to run out (Jan 31st) and we wanted to soak it all up. It was a funny trip as many of the birds we are used to interacting with are either nesting, with young, or moulting, so they didn't really want visitors. On the other hand, we found some birds that were doing none of the above, but that we had overlooked on previous visits. So, all in all, it was a great day.

Clean House
Spent all morning cleaning up my house and cleaning out the birds' cages. Nothing like cleanliness to make a place feel safe and homey.
