Winter

I know this is contrary to the favorites of many of those that I love, but still I am thankful for winter.
I love the cold, the layering of clothing and blankets. I love the foods that I am inspired to cook during the winter, the cozy feeling one gets when it is freezing outside, but there's no need to go out.
Without winter, there is no contrast with the rest of the seasons. It is shadow to the light of spring, summer, and autumn.
